Jiang Sheng, male, born in June 1964, Ph.D, Grade II professor, and doctoral supervisor (1999). He is mainly engaged in interdisciplinary study across historiography, science of religion, and history of science, and lately has paid special attention to the study of the thoughts and culture of Western Han and Eastern Han Dynasties. He advocates a historical understanding and cognitive approach based on religious studies in the international academic community. Currently he serves as Director of the Center for Culture, Science and Technology of Sichuan University, and specially-appointed professor (2015) of "Yangtze River Scholar Program" (in the field of Chinese history) at the School of History and Culture of Sichuan University.
