Yang Shiwen, male, was born in Chongqing Tongnan in February 1965. He was admitted to History Department of Sichuan University in 1982 for the major of History, then to Ancient Books Institute for the major of Historical Philology in 1986, and received a master's degree in History in 1989. Since then, he has stayed at the Institute for research and teaching. In 2003, he was appointed as a researcher, and was granted a doctorate in History in June 2005. Now he works as researcher and doctoral supervisor at the Ancient Books Institute of Sichuan University. His research focuses on historical philology, Confucian culture and Chinese academic history.
