Song Jixiang, born in 1980 in Yantai, Shandong. In 2003, she got a bachelor’s degree in History from Shandong University; in 2007, she received a master’s degree in History from the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; and got a doctoral degree from the University College London in 2011. She now serves as associate researcher at the Archaeology Department of the School of History and Culture in SCU. Her research direction is archaeology of plants
