Wang Lei, born in Chengdu, Sichuan in 1969. PhD in History of Peking University. She once worked at the Institute of Japan Studies in Nankai University, and studied at or visited at the Graduate School of Humanities and Sciences of Ochanomizu University, the Center for East Asian Studies of Central Washington University, and the Department of Chinese Studies of Aichi University.
