  1. Training Aim 

The aim of this undergraduate student training program is to provide professional-level understanding of the Museology, foundational knowledge, and fundamental study skills of Museology so as to prepare students for careers in Museology and social science areas, including but not limited to Museology research, teaching.

  1. Training Requirements

The undergraduate student should study the foundational knowledge, basic theory, and basic skills and methods in the field of Museology. Additionally, the student should undergo filed training in Museology thinking and demonstrate an adequate level of ability to conduct  Museology  research, applied study.

The undergraduate should obtain the following knowledge and abilities:

1)      to master the foundational theories and basic knowledge of Ancient Chinese, History etc.;

2)      to master the basic knowledge, foundational principles, and research skills of Museology;

3)      to know the general principles and knowledge of similar majors;

4)      to know the national laws and regulations about social science studies, the policy on Museology -related studies, and intellectual property at home and abroad;

5)      to know the Museology study frontiers,  and the latest studies in the field of Museology and the status of development of social science-related studies;

6)      to be able to comprehensively use a foreign language to use study for consulting Chinese and foreign data, retrieving documents, and accessing related information. Moreover, the student should be able to employ their mastery of a foreign language for study.

  1. Key Courses for the Major: Introduction to Archaeology; Chinese Archaeology-1; Introduction to Museology; Introduction to Chinese Paleography; Chinese Archaeology-2 ; Chinese Archaeology-3; The museum exhibiton; Literature Research and Essay Writing of Museum; The Studies of Museum Visitors; Preservation and Management for Museum Collection; Cultural Anthropology.
  2. Basic Educational System and Period of Study: four years.
  3. Minimum Number of Credits Required for Graduation: 150.
  4. Graduation Certificate: Bachelor of History (B. H.) Degree.
